The objective of the SEEMLA project is the reliable and sustainable exploitation of biomass from marginal lands (MagL), which are used neither for food nor feed production and are not posing an environmental threat. The workshop aims at providing a national and international perspective of the potential for bioenergy, the main opportunities for deployment in the short and medium term and the principal sustainability issues and challenges which faces its development.
