5.4 – Interim report on the establishment of test sites
The deliverable 5.4 is related to the Seemla task aimed at exploiting and performing experimental case studies for evaluate and optimize biomass production tools for MagL under practical conditions.
This document will give an overview on developing, implementing and monitoring of the selected potential SEEMLA case study sites, pilot cases and plots. At these selected case study sites and plots that have been chosen per country by using the most suitable practices in terms of site preparation, plantation, harvesting, and potential utilization pathways for each specific region, the current status will describe.
The establishment of test sites is based on the findings of the:
➢ WP 3 review on best practice for the sustainable use of MagL,
➢ the assessment tools developed by WP 4
➢ the information on site properties gathered in 5.2 for each case study
➢ the Catalogue for bioenergy crops and their suitability in the categories of MagLs.
➢ The specific exploitation practices of the selected potential SEEMLA case study sites
The case study partners (SALIX, IBC &SB, BTU CS) supported the overall work of this task to collect and prepare the needed data and information for their respective cases. Also, IFEU contributed to sustainability issues.
