EGU Vienna – 1st International Symposium in SEEMLA successfully completed

Approximately 50 international guests attended SSS2.10 “Soils of Marginal Lands”; Dr. Calliope Panoutsou (Imperial College London) and Dr. Saori Miyake (IWAR, University of Darmstadt) were invited as keynote speakers. Other presenters, each of them experts in the field of ecology, soil science, forestry or renewable energy, came from Italy, Greece, Ukraine, Canada, and Germany. – The importance of marginal sites is steadily growing; so is the impact of SEEMLA. – We are now looking forward to the upcoming events: Ligna, Hanover, and EUBCE, Stockholm, Sweden.
