D4.2 – Final Report of definitions and settings for WP4
This final report contains an update of the definitions and settings used in WP4 and it is the final, consolidated version of a document which has continuously been updated throughtout the project until June 2018. This report, prepared by IFEU, corresponds to the work description of task 4.1, which aimed at establishing the scope and goals of the assessment and providing all the initial settings, including technological parameters.
Some part of the definition of the general system boundaries and settings were received from WP2. Additionally, specific definitions and settings with reference to the case study sites were delivered through WP5.
Both sets will be extended by the definitions and settings not necessarily covered in WP2 and WP5, but required for an identical basis for the approach in the different tasks 4.2-4.4 or needed specifically in these tasks.
Current state of the art in cultivation, biomass conversion and bioenergy usage provide the initial description of the systems, which were progressively refined and tailored to SEEMLA using input from other WPs, notably WP2 and WP5. Nevertheless, whenever possible the initial settings and definitions reflect specific aspects of the SEEMLA approach.
